Leadership update – Defence Health CEO

Defence Health announces a change in its executive leadership due to health reasons affecting the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Joanne Kadlecik.

In August 2023 the Board appointed Major General Gerard Fogarty, AO, (Retd) as Acting CEO, while Joanne took leave to attend to a serious health issue. 

After a period of medical treatment, Joanne has tendered her resignation. 

The Board has now commenced a search for a new CEO and Major General Fogarty will remain in the Acting CEO role while this search is undertaken.

Defence Health thanks Joanne for her outstanding contribution since joining the business as Chief Operating Officer in 2014. The Executive and Board wishes Joanne and her family the best for the future. ​​
